Southeastern Train Fleet | Current, Past & Future Rolling Stock [UPDATED]

Southeastern Train Fleet/Rolling Stock. Southeastern (SE) is a train operating company in Great Britain with routes operating in the South East of England and South East London. Southeastern operate 3 main service types which are the Metro services around London including those via Greenwich, Abbey Wood, Bexleyheath and New Eltham to Dartford/Gravesend along with those to Orpington/Sevenoaks, Hayes and the Bromley North branch. SE operate mainline services to stations like Ramsgate, Chatham, Canterbury West/East, Dover Priory, Maidstone East as well as Kent branch lines between Paddock Wood and Strood/Medway and the Sheerness Branch. SE also operate Southeastern High Speed services from London St Pancras International along HS1 to Ebbsfleet and/or Ashford where they then serve larger mainline destinations across Kent. The London stations Southeastern serve are St Pancras, Victoria, Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street, London Bridge and Blackfriars. This video shows the current train fleet (April 2023) along with the future rolling stock and past rolling stock for this operator. Southeastern currently operate their High Speed services using class 395 Javelin trains which are Britain's fastest internal train at 140mph and have 2+2 seating throughout the train as well as a more intercity feel than the rest of the Southeastern train fleet. Southeastern Mainline services are operated mainly by class 375 Electrostar 3 and 4 carriage units which form longer trains. These have a mix of 2+2 seating and 3+2 seating and the first class seats are now declassified on all Southeastern services. Class 377 also operate with Southeastern but these are planned to move to Southern in the next few years to partly make up for the loss of the class 455 and class 313 trains. Southeastern Metro services have the most trains with the older class 465 Networker and class 466 Networker operating many London routes and these trains have 2+3 seating. Class 376 Electrostar have a more metro style interior with fewer seats in 2+2 and larger standing areas. Class 707 are the newest SE trains and have moved from South Western Railway however not all of these will join SE until SWR get enough class 701 Arterio into service and when with SE are renamed from Desiro City to City Beam. The only new rolling stock currently confirmed for Southeastern in the remaining class 707 from SWR which will allow for the replacement of some class 465 and class 466. There are proposals for new build trains to replace the remaining Networker units however this is not confirmed. There have also been proposals for additional High Speed trains but this is not currently likely. The train fleet information is correct as possible as of April 2023 and future train fleet dates are based for the planned introduction for passenger services.
