DOMINOES: Notre Dame's Elite Visit CHANGES Quarterback Recruiting–FSU, Penn State & Georgia IMPACT

The 2027 quarterback recruiting dominoes already began to fall, but a very important one appears ready to drop as well. After visiting Notre Dame this past weekend, Vero Beach (Fla.) signal-caller Wonderful Champ Monds appears likely to select Marcus Freeman and the Irish. That will start an avalanche of other programs–Florida State in particular–seeking another quarterback option. Monds to Notre Dame would be good news for another major program. Recruiting analyst Brian Smith believes Penn State wants Peter Bourque from Tabor Academy (Mass.) to join the fold. With reports that Bourque has canceled his unofficial visit to Notre Dame, per Mike Singer of Blue and Gold, that would be one less team for the Nittany Lions to contend with. PSU’s quarterback recruiting will also trend into news for the Georgia Bulldogs and Virginia Tech Hokies. There are also possibilities for flip candidates if Monds does pick the Irish.
