Whiteman pass day 2. Up to the pass! 2024

A little foray into the Southern most part of Banff National park. The Upper spray river. Not visited very often by non-GDT hikers. This was a planned 4 day backpack very late in the season. The valley actually opens up nicely a few times. Into the pass we go! Checked out both ways up and down. Found a few things and some wintry conditions at the pass. Then things took a bit of a turn. Interesting day! This trail is described in the Canadian Rockies Trail Guide 10th edition.
