If you're new here, I'm Aurelio Licata, founder of Arbitrage Empire. My team and I help everyday people start and scale a profitable Airbnb business through rental arbitrage: you lease the property, list it on Airbnb, and run it as a short-term rental without ever buying real estate. We've built a seven-figure Airbnb portfolio across 50+ U.S. markets, and we use that exact playbook to place clients in proven markets so they're not guessing where to start.
A few years ago my life looked nothing like this. I was a Division 1 baseball player chasing the pros until three surgeries ended that dream and left me with a few thousand dollars and no plan. I found Airbnb arbitrage, paid a mentor with basically my last few cents, and put my head down for 18 months. That one decision changed everything.
My takeaways:
1. Take the leap even when it's scary. You don't need to feel ready, you just need to start.
2. Surround yourself with the right people. If everyone around you works a 9 to 5 and never questions it, that becomes your ceiling too.
3. Never be afraid to pivot. Adversity usually isn't the end of the road, it's just redirecting you to where you're supposed to be.
If you've ever thought about starting an Airbnb business, bet on yourself and go after it. Your life can look completely different a year from now
