Head Coach Matt Campbell Reveals How Penn State ALMOST LOST Cam Wallace

Penn State head coach Matt Campbell speaks ahead of the Nittany Lions' matchup with Washington and reveals a surprising behind-the-scenes story about Cam Wallace's decision to remain at Penn State. Campbell explains how Wallace was frustrated by his injury situation and considered leaving the program before a conversation with Wallace's aunt helped lead to his return. Following Wallace's breakout performance against Purdue, Campbell reflects on the running back's resilience, family support, and the work that helped him earn playing time. Campbell also provides important injury updates on Chase Sowell and Koby Howard, describing Sowell as probable and Howard as questionable for the Washington game. Plus, Campbell discusses Penn State's decision to simplify its running game and defense, the development of quarterback Alex Manske, and the team's plans to travel to Washington on Thursday rather than Friday. Other topics include Brock Riker's improved health, Penn State's aggressive fourth-down decisions, the development of Audavion Collins and Daryus Dixson, and the challenges presented by Washington's offense.
