Who Were the Watchers? The Fallen Angels Behind the Nephilim

Genesis barely mentions them — a few verses about "sons of God" who descended and fathered the Nephilim. But a separate ancient Jewish text, the Book of Enoch, gives them a name: the Watchers. This video explores who the Watchers actually were according to ancient Jewish tradition — the surprising connection between the name Azazel and the Yom Kippur scapegoat ritual, the two separate myths later merged into one story, the striking parallel to the Greek myth of Prometheus, the real distinction between Watchers and demons, and a genuinely rare discovery from the Dead Sea Scrolls connecting biblical giants to the names of characters from the Epic of Gilgamesh. This is a source-based exploration of ancient Jewish apocalyptic literature and comparative mythology — not a claim about supernatural events, but an honest look at what these ancient texts actually say and where their ideas came from. 📖 Chapters: 00:00 The Name You Say on Your Holiest Day Who Were the Watchers?
