In this video, we walk from Byobuzaka-dori to the area around Nippori Station, covering Yanaka and Ueno Sakuragi. As the filming coincided with the Geisai festival of Tokyo University of the Arts, the area around Kototoi-dori was more crowded than usual. After passing through a residential area, the route reaches Ueno Sakuragi. Here stands Ueno Sakuragi Atari, a complex consisting of three renovated old houses built in the early Showa period, which now house a bakery and a beer hall. The route continues to Yanaka Cemetery. Established in the late Edo period, this cemetery features a cherry tree-lined path known as Sakura-dori, providing a calm space with abundant greenery. Walking through the historical streets of Yanaka, known as a temple district due to its numerous temples, the path leads to Okakura Tenshin Memorial Park. This site is dedicated to the art scholar Okakura Tenshin, who was active from the Meiji to Taisho periods, and features a hexagonal hall. Entering Yanaka Ginza Shopping District via Yomise-dori, the scene changes to a lively everyday atmosphere with people queuing at deli shops and drinking at standing bars. After passing through the shopping street and climbing the Yuyake Dandan stairs, the walk concludes at Nippori Station.
