There’s something special about days like thia little farming, a little cooking, and a lot of joy. We spent some time watering the seedbeds, getting everything ready for planting, especially the tomatoes. It’s the kind of work that feels slow but meaningful.
I made a simple meal that turned out so good. I deep fried the fish until crispy, then let it soak in a rich tomato and onion soup. Served with white rice .
Deep frying is still widely used because it makes food crispy, flavorful, and cooks it quickly, even though high heat can reduce some sensitive nutrients like vitamin C and certain B vitamins. Not everything is lost though—proteins in foods like fish remain, and the food becomes more energy-rich due to the oil. At the end of the day, people fry food not just for nutrition but for taste, culture, and convenience, so it’s all about balance—enjoying fried meals while also including other cooking methods like boiling or stewing.
