In this video, we go beyond screenshots, forwarded messages and selective interpretations. The programme comprises at least 360 ECTS, and the official documentation states that the sixth year is dedicated to mandatory internship. The same EQE documentation also discusses the incorporation of the mandatory subjects specified under India’s FMGL 2021 framework into accredited one-cycle Medicine programmes in Georgia. At the same time, the NMC’s official FMGL framework makes it clear that foreign medical graduates must satisfy the applicable requirements relating to course duration, medium of instruction, curriculum, clinical training, internship and registration/licensing requirements. NMC’s official FAQ specifically states that FMGs need to be registered with the relevant professional regulatory body or otherwise be competent to obtain a licence to practise medicine in the country where the degree is awarded, as applicable under the regulations. ⚠️ THE IMPORTANT PART This video is not about creating another panic cycle. It is about putting the complete documentary picture in front of students and parents. A single grievance, reply, screenshot or forwarded message should not automatically be treated as a blanket conclusion about every medical programme or every university in Georgia. At the same time, students should never rely only on a consultancy’s claim either. Before admission, always verify the specific university and programme, accreditation status, curriculum, clinical training, internship structure, medium of instruction and the NMC requirements applicable to your admission year. NMC itself has repeatedly advised students seeking foreign medical education to ensure compliance with the applicable FMGL requirements, particularly regarding duration, medium, syllabus/curriculum, clinical training and internship.
