Zion Ultra Marathon (Trail Running 100 miles)

Running Zion Ultra Marathon, an amazing Trail Running Race. I’m back in 2022 for more beautiful scenery and crazy trail running, once again tackling Zion Ultra 100 miles. I was nervous but eager to test myself once more and build up from last year. My secret weapon? Nora pacing me for over 20 miles (thank you!)!!!! Will history repeat itself, or will I get the last laugh? [SPOILER ALERT] As I’m still not in peak season, I used this race to focus on nutrition, and fine tuning training. The outcome was amazing – I was still (relatively) full of energy at the finish line, with enough juice for a mad dash at the end! It’s one of those races where everything lined up, and I completed it with an amazing time – shaving over 3 hours compared to last year, and more importantly, feeling fresh and having a much more pleasant experience. It’s also reassuring that despite limited running over the past 4 weeks due to my focus on biking, I’m still able to perform and heal quickly.
