Canada’s drone partnership with Ukraine is about more than sending equipment. It also aims to combine Ukrainian designs and wartime experience with Canadian manufacturing, funding and industrial capacity.
This Capital & Control documentary follows three different routes: equipment procured for donation, Canadian funding for production inside Ukraine through the Danish model, and efforts to develop manufacturing capacity in Canada. We examine the Airlogix–Sentinel partnership, the Defence Drone Initiative and why qualification, firm orders, purchase options, production and delivery are different milestones.
Who finances the factories? What makes an order dependable enough to support investment? And how much of the announced capacity becomes usable equipment?
The analysis reflects sources reviewed as of October 26, 2026. Those sources do not establish verified output or completed deliveries for the Canadian co-production projects discussed. Announced funding and capacity targets should not be treated as delivered totals, and overlapping funding announcements should not simply be added together.
