The first is for Mid-Autumn Festival reunion; the second, Thanksgiving fulfilment. Each poem is interpreted in 15 different ways. Though all are café music, every song has its own personality. “Paysage” explores different points of view: the sweet heartbeat of a reunited couple, the Creator’s delighted smile, the poet’s quiet observation, and my own lazy enjoyment of the scenery. “Le laboureur”, meanwhile, explores possible interpretations. Is “Et que le laboureur collabore avec Dieu” an expression of steadfast faith, or perhaps a deeper spiritual meaning? I lean toward the former, but I am open to the latter. The former is firm and humble—steady soft vocals and a restrained musical approach. The latter calls for something grander, with soaring vocals, faster tempo, and stronger rhythms. The poem’s rhythm also seems to echo the sounds of farming, so I brought the bass and percussion forward to evoke tilling and threshing—quite fitting for Thanksgiving. Which song is your favourite? I’d love to hear from you in the comments. Happy holidays! 😊❤️ 歌詞在留言;翻譯會在社群。Lyrics in comments; translation in community post. #cafemusic #咖啡廳音樂 #加拿大詩歌 I have the rights and ownership of the songs used in this video.
