Merseyrail 508112 (2K25) Sandhills - Fazakerley

Recorded date - 9/8/2023 Merseyrail 508112 British Rail Class 508 Electric Multiple Unit Service: 2K25 12:35 Liverpool Central - Fazakerley Prior to the opening of the new Headbolt Lane station services on the Kirkby line were terminating at Fazakerley for a short period of time with a rail replacement service running onwards to Kirkby and older Class 507s and 508s were being used while some 777s were off with software issues. While heading to Kirkby to try and get an older bus that Stagecoach were using on their Kirkby Circular route I ended up on 508112 and as it was reasonably quiet I figured it was worth recording, especially as the 508s are being withdrawn sooner than the 507s. In fact earlier this week 508112 left the network to go Newport for scrap so it was a good decision to record it, so here is 508112 recorded between Sandhills and Fazakerley while working the 12:35 Liverpool Central to Fazakerley service.
