Meet Edna: Your AI Assessment Redesign Partner

Meet Edna Design Studio, an AI-powered assessment redesign partner built in Playlab. Fabiola Torres of Glendale Community College, walks through the research behind the bot and shows how Edna guides faculty through six phases of redesigning an assessment they already have: grounding in the learning outcome, auditing for unnecessary friction, drafting a redesign, challenging grading criteria and formatting gates, and producing Canvas-ready HTML. Edna won't do the work for you. She uses "friction by design" so faculty can feel what students feel when navigating our assessments.
