Start your day asking God for the courage to obey Him even when others may not understand. This morning prayer is for anyone who struggles with people-pleasing, fear of rejection, criticism, approval, or the pressure to compromise what they know is right. There is nothing wrong with listening to wise counsel or caring about others. But when pleasing people becomes more important than obeying God, something has moved out of its proper place. Proverbs 29:25 says: “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.” The fear of the Lord is not panic or terror before God. It is holy reverence. It means taking God, His Word, His holiness, and His commands seriously. Psalm 86:11 says: “Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.” In this morning prayer, ask God to help you: • stop living for the approval of people • overcome the fear of rejection and criticism • obey God even when obedience is uncomfortable • remain faithful when others misunderstand you • receive wise correction without being controlled by criticism • speak truth with grace and humility • establish healthy boundaries when necessary • refuse compromise when pressure comes • live with integrity when no one is watching • value God’s approval more than applause • grow in the fear of the Lord • walk with courage, wisdom, and a clear conscience Proverbs 9:10 reminds us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Galatians 1:10 challenges us to consider whether we are seeking the approval of people or of God. Matthew 10:28 teaches us to place God above the fear of people. And Ecclesiastes 12:13 reminds us to fear God and keep His commandments. Let this be your prayer today: “Lord, make Your approval heavier in my heart than the applause of people. Give me the courage to obey You even when obedience makes me misunderstood.” If you are praying with us, write: “I choose to obey God.” If you have a prayer request, share it in the comments. We would be honored to pray with you. Draw near to God, one morning at a time. 📖 Bible References: Proverbs 29:25 Psalm 86:11 Proverbs 9:10 Galatians 1:10 Matthew 10:28 Ecclesiastes 12:13 #MorningPrayer, #FearOfTheLord, #ChristianPrayer,
