Ryukyu Underground - Ashibi Shongane (Richard H. Kirk mix)

Richard H. Kirk passed away today aged 65. Sad news. I was a big fan. I got to meet him after a show once in the late 80s. He said his main musical influence was Miles Davis. Later he did a remix for my band with Keith Gordon, Ryukyu Underground. When I contacted him about it he was typically paranoid "Yes, I will do the remix. But how did you get my contact information?" Anyway he was much more influential in the development of electronic music than I think most people realize, and his guitar playing was uniquely weird and intense too. Jonathan Taylor
