Explore Tokyo beyond the city center on a 4-day trip through Chofu, Hachioji and Tachikawa in the Tama area. Visit Jindaiji Temple, Jindai Botanical Gardens and Showa Kinen Park, with local soba, Hachioji ramen, neighborhood bathhouses and two hotel stays along the way. Heavy rain changes the plan in Tachikawa, leading to a cafe stop at GREEN SPRINGS. The next morning, I return to Showa Kinen Park for fountains, cosmos flowers, bonsai and a Japanese garden.
