走進百年老戲院，有種說不出的壓抑｜何香凝、女人的生命力、九週年晚餐 Singapore Days

這是 8 月 18–22 日，在新加坡生活的片段記錄。 來到牛車水，無意間走進重新修復的梨春園。如今這座昔日的粵劇戲院已改建成黑白色調的飯店，但真正走進去，感受到的卻是一種超乎想像的沉重與壓抑。 戲院曾經的起起落落、戲子「人生如戲，戲如人生」的悲歡，以及過去鴉片文化留下的歷史痕跡，彷彿仍停留在空氣裡，像一塊無形的石頭壓在心上。 走出梨春園，牛車水的街道卻是另一番景象——愈來愈舒適，也更適合慢慢散步。於是走進南洋老咖啡店喝杯咖啡。咖啡真的很好喝，只可惜傍晚喝對我來說還是太刺激，結果晚上完全睡不著。😅 這幾天也記錄了一些平凡的新加坡生活：吃早餐、上聖經課、看展、逛新加坡國家美術館。 這次何香凝的作品尤其觸動我。她透過書畫寄託思想與情感，讓我再次感受到女人生命中的力量。創作，也是女人生命力的一種展現。對我而言，無論寫作或製作影片，都讓思想與情感得到出口，也帶來一種很深的釋放。 影片最後，是我和老羅到濱海灣花園 Hortus 慶祝結婚九週年。我們吃了一頓新鮮、簡單又有家庭料理溫度的地中海晚餐，也為這幾天的生活，留下了一個甜蜜而美好的句點。🌷 A little record of life in Singapore from August 18–22. While walking through Chinatown, I unexpectedly stepped into the restored Lai Chun Yuen. Once an important Cantonese opera theatre, it has now been transformed into a black-and-white hotel. Yet the moment I walked inside, I felt a heaviness and sadness far beyond what I had expected. The rise and fall of the old theatre, the joys and sorrows of performers whose lives seemed inseparable from the stage, and traces of Singapore’s opium-era history still seemed to linger in the air—like an invisible weight pressing on my heart. Stepping outside, Chinatown felt completely different: brighter, more comfortable, and perfect for a slow walk. I stopped at Nanyang Old Coffee for a cup of coffee. It was delicious, but evening coffee is apparently still too powerful for me—I ended up awake all night. 😅 I also captured some ordinary moments of Singapore life: breakfast, Bible class, exhibitions, and a visit to the National Gallery Singapore. This time, the works of He Xiangning especially moved me. The way she expressed her thoughts and emotions through art reminded me of the vitality and strength within women. For me, writing and filmmaking provide that same kind of release—a place where thoughts and emotions can breathe freely. The video ends with Lao Luo and me celebrating our ninth wedding anniversary at Hortus in Gardens by the Bay.
