Look Around Freely in 360° - Canadian Memorial & Minstead Walk | Misty Autumn Morning, Woodland & Heath | New Forest 4K Join me for a peaceful early morning autumn walk starting near the Canadian War Memorial, close to Minstead and Lyndhurst in the New Forest. Filmed in 4K 360°, this immersive walk allows you to look around freely as you explore the Forest and take in the changing scenery for yourself. Starting near the memorial, the route heads into the Forest along mainly well-maintained gravel tracks, passing through managed woodland before gradually becoming more natural and open. The changing character of the Forest is one of the highlights of this walk, moving from maintained forest paths into areas of more natural-looking trees and open heathland. The early morning mist creates an atmospheric start, with the woodland partially hidden in the haze. As the sun begins to appear, the mist slowly lifts and sunlight spreads across the trees and heath, creating some beautiful changes in light and atmosphere along the route. There is plenty of wildlife to look out for too. Deer were spotted during the woodland sections, while New Forest ponies appeared as the route opened out towards the heathland. Seeing the ponies against the sunlit heath adds to the feeling of being immersed in the traditional New Forest landscape. This is also a more physically demanding walk than some of my shorter, flatter routes. There is quite a lot of going up and down hills, with the changing elevation providing different viewpoints across the Forest and making this a varied and rewarding route.
