LSB 602: The Gifts Christ Freely Gives

Lutheran Pipes is a channel dedicated to confessional, Lutheran hymnody and other liturgical music. Although music is not to be worshipped, it is a gift of God to mankind. According to Martin Luther, "I have no use for cranks who despise music, because it is a gift of God. Music drives away the Devil and makes people joyful; they forget thereby all wrath, unchastity, arrogance, and the like. Next after theology, I give to music the highest place and the greatest honor." If you are so inclined, please subscribe to help others hear the Gospel of Christ Jesus through music. Tune: Charles J. Dale, 1842-1912, alt. Music: Public Domain Recording © 2026, James Ikenberry
