030 Gaius: Doing Right Even When Things Go Wrong | Sunday Morning | 10-4-26

In this message from our Hidden Heroes series, we examine the life and example of Gaius in 3 John. Though little is recorded about him, Gaius provides a powerful example of a believer whose walk in truth brought joy, whose faithfulness was recognized, and whose service was encouraged. The circumstances surrounding this letter make his example especially meaningful. Diotrephes loved preeminence, rejected the authority of the apostle John, and actively hindered the receiving of faithful brethren. In contrast, John commends Gaius for his faithful conduct and encourages him to bring these brethren forward in a godly manner. Through Gaius, we are reminded that our walk with God should be evident in our conduct, that faithful service should be recognized and encouraged, and that the opposition of others does not change what is right. May we ever follow that which is good. This is part of our Hidden Heroes series, examining biblical people whose actions teach us important truths even though they are often overlooked in Scripture.    • Hidden Heroes   Would you like to know how you can go to Heaven when you die?
