I Counted Every Yamcha Fight. The Joke Is Wrong

I went through the Dragon Ball manga and counted every fight Yamcha has been in, sixteen of them. The last time he wins one is volume 14, so yes, the joke has some truth to it. Then I read the page before the crater, and the famous panel looks different. The record: Wins: 6 (Chi-Chi as a kid, a rabbit henchman, the Invisible Man, three tournament prelims) Losses: 7 (Goku, Jackie Chun, the Mummy, Tenshinhan, Shen, the old android, the Cell Juniors) Draws: 2 (the first Goku fight and the Saibaman) No result: 1 (Dragon Ball Super, Zauyogi, Goku ends it) How I counted: running away beaten is a loss. If the fight is still open when it stops, that's a draw. The Saibaman is a draw because Nappa uses the word on the page in volume 18. Group fights count once. The three prelim wins are the hit on the page plus the fact that he moved on. He must have won some earlier prelims too, but the manga doesn't show them, so they're not in the count. Baseball, movies and anime fillers are out. Dragon Ball Super was a text search plus reading the pages it found, the rest I read page by page. Three tournaments, and he made the final eight every time. He lost to Jackie Chun (Roshi), Tenshinhan and Kami. Was the Saibaman a draw, or should I have counted it as a loss? And who goes on trial next?
