Four days. Four and a half thousand lines. Forty-four files changed — and only three of them new. That last number is the one worth sitting with. This was not a week of adding parts. It was a week of going back into parts that already worked and asking more of them. Hidloo is a hide-and-seek game played inside your own photographs. You hide a tiny figure in a picture of your street, your desk, your dog asleep on the sofa. You send a six-character code. Your friend gets thirty seconds and three taps. WHAT GOT BUILT THIS WEEK ⏱ SUDDEN DEATH — a second way for a round to end. Both players, one photograph, twelve seconds, one tap each. The rules live on the server, not in the app, and that is not caution for its own sake: sudden death is the one mode where a single tap is worth the whole round, which makes it exactly the mode somebody would try to win by editing the request on the way out. 🌍 250 FLAGS — the standing now knows where people are playing from, and it knows because they told it. No guessing from an IP address. A picker with a search box, because a list of two hundred and fifty countries without one is a punishment rather than a feature. 👤 A PROFILE — a player stopped being a name and a number. Photograph, flag, rank ring, badges: the things somebody actually looks at before deciding to challenge you. 🎁 AN INVITATION THAT PAYS BOTH SIDES — 500 points to whoever sent it, 250 to whoever arrived, and only once the newcomer has actually played a round. Paying on install makes a reward worth farming. Paying on a played round makes it worth sharing. 👥 GROUP CARDS — a score card for a group instead of for one person, because the way this game actually spreads is four friends in a chat, not one player climbing a global ladder. 🌐 A WEBSITE IN SPANISH — six pages rebuilt, each one its own file rather than a string swapped at runtime. English stays the default and Spanish sits beside it, which is the opposite of how the app works. The app follows your phone; a website has no phone to follow, so the choice has to be visible and the URL has to survive being shared. AND THREE DAYS OF WORK NOBODY WILL EVER SEE A second app inside the same Firebase project, this one for iPhone, with a bundle id that actually matches what App Store Connect knows about. An iOS sign-in session that was creating a user Firebase recognised and the app did not. RevenueCat wired to Google Cloud so a real purchase could be tested instead of simulated. And an Android release built for one reason only: to find out whether anybody can actually buy the Pro version. None of that changes what the game does. All of it had to exist before a single person could pay for anything. PLAY IT Hidloo is free on Google Play and the App Store. Eight figures free forever; Pro is one purchase, no subscription, no ads, no advertising identifiers. → https://www.hidloo.app This is a build-in-public series: one app, made in the open, shipped to two stores, mistakes included. #buildinpublic #flutter #firebase #revenuecat #indiedev #gamedev #mobilegame #appdevelopment #solodev #indiegamedev
