Why Madinah Skips Mawlid | Shaykh Abdurrazaq Al-Badr

Shaykh Abdurrazaq Al-Badr explains why the people of Madinah do not celebrate the mawlid, despite it being the city of the Prophet ﷺ, recounting a conversation with a puzzled visitor who expected grand celebrations there. He clarifies that true love for the Prophet ﷺ is shown through following his guidance, not through innovated displays introduced into the religion. He reminds listeners that the Companions, the Followers, and the best generations of Islam never celebrated the mawlid, and that these celebrations only appeared after the third century of Islam.
