There is something incredibly comforting about watching a powerful spring thunderstorm move across the night sky from the safety of a warm, wood-paneled cabin. Listen to the steady rain washing over the large skylight windows and the deep, distant rumble of thunder that makes the peaceful atmosphere inside this hidden retreat feel even more calming. Every corner of the room is filled with warmth and comfort. The golden glow from the roaring stone fireplace blends with soft amber string lights to create a dreamy, timeless mood. On the plush sectional sofa, surrounded by thick faux-fur blankets, a Bengal cat and a small Westie sleep peacefully, while a German Shepherd rests quietly on the rug beside the hearth. Near the panoramic windows, a telescope waits for a clearer night, but for now, the flashes of lightning and the deep blue forest outside create the perfect view. Whether you are settling in for a night of deep focus, reading, studying, or simply looking for a natural way to drift into restful sleep, let the steady rhythm of the storm and the warmth of the fire help you relax and leave the outside world behind. A few words about how this video was created: AI is everywhere today and has become a common part of digital creation. The real issue is not the use of AI itself, but the large amount of fully automated content that is published without careful editing, refinement, or creative direction. That is why I want to be transparent about how my videos are made and how AI is used as only one part of the process. The workflow begins with an AI-generated image created with tools such as Leonardo, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or similar platforms. However, this image is only the foundation. It is then manually edited in GIMP and/or Photoshop, where visual errors are corrected, lighting is refined, colors are adjusted, and additional details are added or changed. After that, the image is separated into multiple layers so that depth and realistic movement can be created later. The animation is built in DaVinci Resolve. Here, I combine real video footage, 3D elements, environmental overlays, and occasional small AI animations for animals or other subtle movements. This stage can be very time-consuming, and a single project may eventually contain up to 35 individual visual layers. A major part of the production is dedicated to sound design. In thunderstorm scenes especially, one final ambience may contain up to 50 separate audio clips. Many of these sounds are recorded by myself using equipment such as the Tascam DR-40, Zoom H2n, and Blue Yeti microphone. A limited number of royalty-free CC0 recordings may also be included when needed. Each sound is carefully selected, layered, edited, and balanced. Individual recordings are processed in Audacity and sometimes FL Studio, where timing, dynamics, equalization, and tonal balance are adjusted manually. The complete soundscape is then assembled and mixed in DaVinci Resolve to create a detailed, living atmosphere that develops naturally rather than feeling automatically generated. Once the visuals, animation, and sound design work together as one complete scene, final details are added, such as the channel logo at the beginning, before the finished video is rendered. By that point, a single video can require up to 13 hours of work. This video is created through a hybrid, handcrafted workflow. AI is used as a creative tool, while the final atmosphere, depth, pacing, and emotional tone come from many deliberate manual decisions. I hope this gives you a small look behind the scenes, and I hope you enjoy a peaceful, cozy, and relaxing time with this video. #thunderstorm #rainsounds #fireplace
