As a summer thunderstorm rolls across the distant forest, heavy rain and soft thunder create a peaceful atmosphere around this warm mountain retreat. Inside, golden firelight, glowing fairy lights, candles, and cozy wooden details fill the loft with comfort. A Golden Retriever rests near the stove while a Bengal cat sleeps on the sofa, surrounded by soft blankets and warm furnishings. Perfect for deep sleep, reading, relaxation, or focused work, let the soothing rain, distant thunder, and crackling fire help you unwind. A few words about how this video was created: The Visual Workflow: The base image begins with an AI concept, but that is only the starting point. Manual Compositing: I extensively retouch, color-grade, and separate the image into layers using Photoshop and GIMP to create realistic depth. Animation: In DaVinci Resolve Studio, I combine several techniques. I use Real Footage Overlays for weather effects (like rain, fire or dust) to ensure natural movement. For characters such as the sleeping pets, I utilize AI animation tools to bring them to life, which are then carefully blended into the scene. Detail: A single scene often consists of up to 35 individual layers. This level of complexity is necessary to blend the animation, the overlays, and the background into one cohesive video. Audio Engineering & Soundscape: This is where most of the work happens. A thunder or rain scene often contains over 50 individual sound clips to create a High Fidelity experience. Field Recording: I record many sounds myself to ensure unique textures. My gear includes the Tascam Portacapture X8, Clippy EM272, Tascam DR-40, and Zoom H2n. Mixing & Mastering: Audio clips are processed in Audacity and FL Studio to refine timing and dynamics. Spatial Depth: Finally, I mix everything in DaVinci Resolve, using careful Layering to create a rich stereo panorama that sounds great on both headphones and speakers. This hybrid process can take up to 13 hours per video. My goal is to combine visual depth and detailed sound design into a rich atmospheric experience that feels ""real"" and comforting.
