Along this road are the traces of martyrs who laid down their lives to preserve their faith during times of persecution. We remember the martyrs at the Gwanghwamun beatification site, follow the marks of persecution at the Uigeumbu, Jeonokseo, and Upodo-cheong, and reflect on their steadfast faith. We then pass through the Seosomun Martyrs’ Shrine, Korea’s largest martyrdom site, and conclude the pilgrimage at Yakhyeon-dong Catholic Church, the final stop on the Path of Life.
