Beyond asking for help, we found ourselves talking about marriage, relationships, friendship, vulnerability, expectations, navigating life with other people, and the many ways we learn to give and receive support. So yes… we definitely drifted from the original topic more than once. 😂 But underneath all those detours were conversations that were meaningful, reflective and very real, and somehow, they all connected back to what it means to need other people and allow ourselves to be supported. Because asking for help isn’t always as simple as saying, “Can you help me?” Sometimes it means admitting we can’t do everything alone. Sometimes it means trusting someone enough to let them show up for us.
