Why is it so hard to ask for help, even when we would gladly show up for someone else? In Episode 7 of Converse with Kaffy, I sit down with my dear friend Daisy of Daisy Mo Collective for a conversation about asking for help, vulnerability, pride, independence, and what happens when you become known as “the strong one.” We talk about the pressure to always have it together. The discomfort of needing people. The fear of being a burden. The expectations we place on ourselves. And why receiving help can sometimes feel much harder than giving it. And because Daisy and I are actually friends, this conversation went exactly the way you might imagine. 😂 We laughed. We went off topic. We found our way back. We went off topic again. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, we had a really honest conversation about what it means to let people see us when we do not have everything figured out. We had so much to say that this conversation became a two part episode, so consider this Part 1. One question I keep coming back to is: If you are always the person everyone depends on, who do you allow yourself to depend on? 💬 Tell me in the comments: Are you good at asking for help, or are you usually the “I’ll figure it out myself” person? 🎙️ Converse with Kaffy Real Conversations.
