When God Allows More Than You Can Handle

What if the pain you're going through isn't the end of your story? Pain doesn't just hurt us—it can shape our hearts. In this message from the A New Heart series, we wrestle with one of life's hardest questions: Why would God allow pain in my life? Through the story of Job, Deuteronomy 8, 2 Corinthians, Acts, and the cross of Jesus, we discover three powerful truths: Pain reveals what is happening inside of us. Pain redirects us toward dependence on God. Pain can reach others through our story and testimony. Sometimes pain exposes the things we've been trusting more than God. Sometimes it reminds us that we were never meant to carry everything in our own strength. And sometimes the chapter we never would have chosen becomes the very story God uses to give someone else hope. The cross reminds us that what looks like weakness isn't necessarily the absence of God's power. What looked like defeat became victory. What looked like the end became the beginning. So don't confuse the chapter you're living in with the way your story ends. God is still writing.
