Who Has Your Ear? | The Wrong Voices Can Keep You Stuck

Who has your ear? The voices you allow to influence your life can either help you move through difficult seasons or keep you stuck in them. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” But simply having people around you doesn’t mean you have wise counsel. God may place wisdom around you, but it only helps when you’re willing to listen. And sometimes, wisdom doesn’t sound like agreement. Proverbs 27:5–6 reminds us that the wounds of a faithful friend can be trusted. The people who truly love you won’t always tell you what you want to hear. They’ll tell you what you need to hear.
