Solo #2 from Nine French American Rudimental Solos Vol. 1 by Joseph Tompkins

Here is solo #2 from Volume 1 of the Joe Tompkins book Nine French American Rudimental Solos. I love these books as they are a logical extension of the works of Wilcoxon, Pratt and Schinstine combined with the rich French rudimental snare drum tradition. I play the solo at the written tempo of 1/4 note = 70 and then demonstrate the solo line by line. The snare drum I am using is a 16" x 16" Pearl Philharmonic field drum.
