Broadcast live on Format FM, London in September 1993, this rare pirate radio recording captures Bizzy B and DJ Swift at the forefront of the UK's Breakbeat Hardcore to Jungle revolution. Packed with exclusive dubplates, chopped Amen breaks, deep basslines and dark underground energy, this set perfectly documents one of the most exciting periods in rave music history, when Hardcore was rapidly evolving into Jungle. The tracklist includes music from Bizzy B, DJ Swift & DJ Zinc, Johnny Jungle, Cool Hand Flex, DJ Hype, Origin Unknown, LTJ Bukem and many more, reflecting the cutting-edge sound dominating London's pirate airwaves. Few producers influenced the sound of early Jungle more than Bizzy B. Through his pioneering Brain Records label, he helped introduce artists including DJ Zinc, Peshay, Technical Itch and Equinox, while creating some of the darkest and most innovative Breakbeat Hardcore ever pressed to vinyl. Alongside DJ Swift, whose productions with DJ Zinc became staples of the emerging Jungle movement, this broadcast captures two influential figures during a defining chapter of UK underground music. Format FM was one of London's respected underground pirate stations, giving DJs the freedom to showcase unreleased music and the freshest dubplates weeks before official releases.
