Remembering Dr. Freddie Fu

OrthoEvidence remembers Dr. Freddie Fu and his legacy of impact in Orthopaedic Surgery. A mentor to thousands, a teacher to all, a leader, a scholar and above all, an expert surgeon to his patients. I had the privilege of interacting with Professor Fu on numerous occasions and remember each of them well. Regardless of the venue, the city, or the attendees, he began and finished with ‘evidence’. Data was paramount in his decision-making, and to this end, his scholarship as a researcher (and supporter of evidence-based orthopaedics) was a key priority. Whether fundamental sciences or clinical research, his contributions to the body of literature in our field is immense. But more importantly, his impact on surgeons and scientists alike is even greater. Please join me in reflecting on a generational talent and educator, Professor Freddie Fu.
