Welcome to the start of a new three-album edition of Dungeon Synth Sunday where, by chance, all three artists hail from the North West corner of Europe, bringing with them low brooding suns, darkening nights and the chill temperatures of autumn. For our first album today, I present Dutch artist, Heidespreuk with a second chapter of dusky quietude and nocturnal reverie drawn from the flora and fauna around his homestead of Harderwijk. Veluwe II takes the listener on a journey through folklore, myths and iconography from bog-strewn forests, with bruised melodies and hushed atmospheres that make for an ideal October soundtrack.
