The suspenseful build, guitar tones and overall cinematic feeling had me locked in — and once the drummer hit her SPINNING STAR, I knew it was ON LIKE DONKEY KONG. 😂🥁🔥 LOVEBITES is so FAST, GRACEFUL and CINEMATIC with their brand of speed/power metal. Then that hook dropped and suddenly I was getting some serious IRON MAIDEN vibes. 🤘 I’m starting to feel like every LOVEBITES reaction I do might have me saying some of the same things because they seem to have a formula — but it’s a DAMN GOOD formula: ⚡ Suspense-building intro ⚡ RIPPING verses ⚡ Huge melodic, almost operatic hooks ⚡ Insane musicianship ⚡ Guitar solos that could practically be songs by themselves I especially love how the guitars trade solos back and forth and then COME TOGETHER at the end. That shit is ridiculous. 🎸🔥🎸 But what I was NOT expecting was that crazy whammy-pedal-type VOCAL MODULATION going into the final chorus. 😳 That legitimately shocked me. And I have to mention the singer — I really dig her mature, sexy swagger and confidence. She commands the front of this band while everyone behind her is absolutely DESTROYING their instruments. LOVEBITES is quickly becoming another band where I know I’m going to get elite musicianship every time.
