Instead of simply memorising that the opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral are supplementary, we will understand why their sum is 180°. Using our previously learned concept of the angle at the centre and the angle at the circumference, including the reflex angle at the centre, we will see how the result follows naturally: ∠A + ∠C = 180° ∠B + ∠D = 180° The concept is demonstrated visually using GeoGebra, followed by problem solving so that you can learn how to recognise and apply the theorem confidently.
