Salamander Portable: Japan’s Hidden Gem Konami Arcade Collection

In this video, we are taking a look at the Salamander Portable collection for the PSP. This compilation was created by legendary port masters M2 exclusively for the PSP. Unlike the Gradius Portable collection, this one sadly remained in Japan and never saw a western release. As expected from M2, the emulation quality here is fantastic, and Salamander Portable is a great way to experience these classic games, although the more recent release of the Gradius Origins is probably a more accessible way to play the majority of this collection. The version of Gradius 2 included in an enhanced port of the MSX version was updated to have smooth scrolling and improved graphics. The original version is still selectable from the options, and they even included the modifier options when another Konami cartridge is used.
