1500 SEATS AND ONLY 12 OLD LADIES LEFT | Dag Heward-Mills

Dag Heward-Mills tells the story of hating church as a boy because it was so boring, then going back years later as a pastor for a funeral. He listened carefully to the priest and heard beautiful scriptures, correct theology, perfect delivery - but something was missing. That missing thing was the Holy Spirit. He visits a church in Europe with 1500 beautiful pews and only 12 elderly members left, while Spirit-filled churches are packed with young people. He recalls riding in a car with Yonggi Cho, who whispered nothing but "Holy Spirit" the entire journey. The takeaway is simple and sharp: the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
