There is welcome news for Delhi residents regarding water connections, as the Delhi Jal Board has approved new regulations for water and sewer connections. These new rules will replace the 2012 regulations and aim to simplify the entire process—from obtaining a connection to handling meters and paperwork. The most significant change is that a separate water connection can now be obtained for each flat. Under the old rules, a maximum of only six water connections were permitted per residential building; however, this limit has now been removed, provided certain conditions are met, meaning distinct families living in the same building can secure their own individual connections.
