We all go through stages in our careers as athletes where we fall out of love with our sports. It's being able to identify when this happens that matters. Before you quit, do some self-reflection on why you started your sport in the first place. Figuring out your "why" can help you find purpose again in your sport. Ask yourself the necessary questions and then see what changes need to be made in order to help you love your sport again. Sometimes a change is exactly what you need to ignite that excitement and love again. In my 23 years as an elite-level athlete in 3 different sports, I have gone through this many times in my sporting career. Your biggest competitor is in your head. You need to do what makes you happy and lights a fire inside you.
