Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau: Part 1: Taipei & Shifen in Taiwan

This is the first in a series of videos from out trip to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. In this video we travel to Taipei where we are based. I visit the Syntrend electronics shopping mall and then explore interesting stationary shops and enjoy the local vibe of Taipei. Neill and I take an excursion on the local trains to Shifen to observe paper lanterns being released from the train lines and then enjoy the natural beauty as we hiked to Shifen Falls. Taiwan is not a typical tourist destination and perhaps that is the appeal for us. We find the culture and way of life fascinating. We love the natural beauty of this stunning island and I get a real kick out of the art and craft scene.
