Bono incorporates this fact straight into the first song of the night, creatively adlibbing about everything being alright at their first European show that year. The setlist has stayed the exact same for now, which sadly includes a cut in half encore, missing "Desire" and "Ultra Violet", leading to a quite short concert tonight. On the other hand, the performance is absolutely excellent, with many impressive vocals (for an example, check out the finale of "Even Better" tonight or "Mysterious Ways", if you wanna hear some excellent falsetto!) and improvisations by Bono (for example during the finale of "One", which is dedicated to Marlene Dietrich as she had passed away in Paris one day prior) and the band playing with lots of fire and creativity throughout the show. Before "Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World", the audience sings "Happy Birthday" for Bono, who'd turn 32 just three days later.
