The Ostrich Dad Who Chased Off Wild Dogs and a Leopard link video :    • The Ostrich Dad Who Chased Off Wild Dogs a...   In the red sands of the Kalahari, an ostrich pair takes turns on the nest: the brown female by day, the black male by night. But a pack of African wild dogs has pups waiting at the den, and today the hunters head straight for the eggs. The dogs surround the female, draw her away and reach the nest, only to find that an egg the size of a melon, with a shell as thick as a coin, is almost impossible to grip. Then the male charges in at close to forty miles an hour. Weeks later, with the chicks hatched, a leopard tries its luck, and finds out why no predator that hunts alone can afford an ostrich's kick. 00:00 The nest 00:48 Pups at the den 01:28 The pack surrounds the female 02:48 An egg too hard to break 03:28 The male charges in 04:40 Hatching 05:52 The leopard 06:56 The warning 07:12 The charge 08:08 The distraction display 09:04 The leopard runs 09:52 Family on the move #ostrich #wilddogs #leopard #wildlife #naturedocumentary ⚠️ DISCLAIMER This video is created for educational, documentary, and storytelling purposes.
