My Grace Is Sufficient for You Sometimes we pray for God to remove the pain, open the closed door, or take away the burden. We think that if our circumstances change, we will finally be able to stand strong again. But sometimes God does not first remove the thorn. Our weakness itself does not make us strong. We become strong because the power of Christ rests upon us. Even when the thorn remains, His grace is sufficient. Even when tears remain, Christ is enough. The cross once appeared to be a place of weakness and defeat, yet God accomplished salvation through that very place. In the same way, the moments of our lives that we cannot understand are never outside the hands of God. This song is a prayer to stop trusting in our own strength and to live a life that reveals Christ alone. When I am weak, then I am strong, because the One who holds me is strong. May every remaining day of our lives become a confession: “Lord, without You I cannot live. Your grace is sufficient for me.”
