Assembly Line of the Mind . Dr. Yasser Anan

The study of mental processes is a branch of cognitive psychology concerned with understanding how the mind processes information. These processes include: attention, which acts as a gateway for incoming information; perception, the process of interpreting stimuli; memory, the storage and retrieval of information; thinking—a higher-order process involved in making judgments and solving problems; and language, a symbolic system for expression and communication. These processes integrate to form the cognitive foundation of human behavior and are investigated through experimental methods and neuroimaging to understand their underlying neural bases. This field of study aims to develop cognitive abilities and improve performance in educational, health, and psychological domains.
