This Cartoon Is Based on a REAL Teenager’s Diary?! | Unlovable Reaction

Original video:    • Unlovable | Cartoon Cartoons   Channel:    / @warnerbrostv   Artextric reacts to “Unlovable | Cartoon Cartoons” by Warner Bros. TV. In today’s reaction, we’re checking out Unlovable, an animated Cartoon Network short created by Esther Pearl Watson and Mark Todd. Unlovable follows Tammy Pierce, an awkward teenage girl trying to survive high school in the 1980s while dealing with boys, friendships, popularity, embarrassing situations, and all the painfully awkward moments that come with being a teenager. What makes Unlovable especially interesting is the story behind it. Esther Pearl Watson originally created the Unlovable comics after finding a teenage girl’s diary in a gas-station bathroom. That diary became the inspiration for Tammy and her hilarious, embarrassing, and surprisingly relatable teenage experiences. The animated short was originally created years ago before finally resurfacing as part of Cartoon Cartoons. While reacting, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Tammy, the 1980s setting, character designs, comedy, art style, awkward teenage moments, and whether Unlovable could have worked as a full Cartoon Network series.
