LOG Epistle Lesson, Sermon Hymn, and Sermon on 20th Sunday after Pentecost: Proper #23 on 10/11/26

Our focus this Sunday is on the Holy Spirit's call through the Apostle Paul's call for us to rejoice in all circumstances, and how we can go about facilitating that. In our Epistle Lesson from Philippians 4:4-13 the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul calls us to live a life of rejoicing as we lift up to the Lord in prayer all that causes fear, annoyance, receiving from our Lord His peace given by faith, and focusing on all the blessings we receive in Christ. The Sermon Hymn is #722 "Lord, Take My Hand and Lead Me". The sermon from Pastor Hensler is from Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice: A Double Dose". In this sermon we are encouraged to turn over our struggles and problems to God in prayer, rejoicing in the Peace that Jesus earned for us on the cross that only He can give, and give thanks for His gracious gifts in all circumstances.
