Turkey Hits Back at Muhoozi? — Professor Warns “He Will Face It Rough”.

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s increasingly heated confrontation with Türkiye over Fred Lumbuye has taken another dramatic turn. As Muhoozi continues making demands and issuing warnings on social media, a Turkish foreign-policy professor, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağcı, has offered a blunt assessment in an Africa Post interview: he argues that Muhoozi’s threats are not being taken seriously in Turkey and warns that if Uganda follows through on them, the consequences could be difficult for Kampala. Bağcı is a Turkish professor of international relations and a prominent commentator on Turkish foreign policy. And here is the funny irony. Muhoozi may have intended to put Turkey under pressure. But so far, the Lumbuye saga has arguably done something completely different: it has given Lumbuye even more attention while putting Uganda–Turkey tensions under the international spotlight.
