Red. Blue. Red. Blue. Choose your side. Choose your enemy. Neon faces in the television glow, Everybody knows what everybody doesn’t know. Fingers pointing through a digital haze, Feeding little fires in a thousand different ways. You call me traitor. I call you blind. We draw the borders Inside our minds. And the machine keeps feeding Every wound we hide Turning fear into a weapon, Turning neighbors into sides. We are dancing on the fault line, Dying for a reason. Two flags underneath one sky, Two religions of the season. You say burn it down I say hold the line. But we’re breathing the same air, We’re burning in the same fire. Black glass whispers, “Here is who you hate.” Every little outrage Arrives before it’s late. Facts become ammunition, Truth becomes a war, Nobody remembers What they were fighting for. You wear your anger Like a sacred crown. I wear my silence Like I’m underground. We are dancing on the fault line, Dying for a reason. Two flags underneath one sky, Two religions of the season. You say burn it down I say hold the line. But we’re breathing the same air, We’re burning in the same fire. What if you’re not my enemy? What if I’m not yours? What if every wall we built Is only locking us indoors? What if the monster Has no face? What if the monster Is the space Between us? RED. Divide. BLUE. Divide. LEFT. Divide. RIGHT. Divide. And somewhere underneath it A heartbeat. We are dancing on the fault line, Dying for a reason. Two flags underneath one sky, Two ghosts inside one nation. You say burn it down I say hold the line. But we’re breathing the same air, We’re burning in the same fire. Same blood. Same ground. Same fear. Same sound. Two halves screaming That the other half must die While the whole thing burns alive. Red fades into black. Blue fades into black. The screen goes dark. And for one second Nobody knows whose side they’re on.
